Initiation Ceremony
Initiation ceremonies are conducted either annually or bi-annually
depending on the local chapter. Based on your university’s policy
for researching GPA, form a list of students who meet the criteria
to join SIE listed under
Membership and send them an “invitation
to join SIE". Order initiation materials per instructions
listed below. Your ceremony can be as simple or complex as you wish
and may include a banquet, reception, speakers, or a simple
initiation ceremony based on the
Ritual for Initiation. Include family members in the invitation
(or encourage the initiates to do so). Additionally, consider
inviting distinguished faculty in your college and your
dean/associate dean to the ceremony. Initiation Materials Order
